Exploring Feminine Rising
Welcome back to the podcast!
I’m so excited you’re here because today, we’re diving into a topic that has the power to transform not just how you run your business, but how you feel in the process. If you’ve ever found yourself exhausted from the hustle, craving more ease, or wondering if there’s a better way to create success without burning out—this episode is for you.
We’re talking about Feminine Rising—what it means, why it matters, and how embracing this energy can shift everything in your life and business. Let’s get into it!
What Is Feminine Rising?
Let’s start with the basics. What exactly is feminine rising?
At its core, feminine rising is a reconnection to your inner wisdom, intuition, and natural rhythms. It’s leading from alignment instead of force. It’s about integrating flow, creativity, and trust into your life and business rather than constantly pushing through hustle and grind.
Now, this doesn’t mean we’re rejecting masculine energy altogether. Structure, strategy, and action have their place. In fact, true empowerment comes from balancing the masculine and the feminine—the doing with the being.
Masculine energy provides the necessary foundation: strategy, planning, discipline, and execution—the structure that keeps a business growing sustainably. But when we rely solely on these, we risk burnout and disconnection from our deeper purpose.
Feminine energy brings intuition, creativity, flow, and trust. It allows us to lead with alignment, make decisions that feel right rather than just look good on paper, and embrace ease rather than force.
The key is integration:
· Use feminine intuition to visualize what you want to create.
· Use masculine structure to turn that vision into an actionable roadmap.
· Take consistent action, but allow space for flow and receptivity.
When we honour both, business becomes expansive, sustainable, and deeply fulfilling—not a constant uphill battle, but a powerful co-creation of strategy and soul.
Recognizing the Call to Feminine Rising
At some point, you start to feel the shift—you know something needs to change, even if you can’t quite put your finger on it. This is your feminine energy calling you back home, guiding you toward a new way of doing business and life.
Here’s how it might show up:
You’re tuning into your intuition more deeply. At first, this might feel like misalignment—your business is working, but it’s losing its spark. The strategies that once felt exciting now feel heavy, and you’re questioning if this is really how you want to keep operating. Instead of ignoring that feeling, you start listening. You notice when something feels forced versus when it feels expansive. You trust your inner nudges and begin making decisions from a place of alignment rather than obligation.
You’re ready to set clearer boundaries and say no without guilt. The old people-pleasing tendencies aren’t serving you anymore. You’re realizing that protecting your energy isn’t selfish—it’s necessary. Whether it’s turning down misaligned opportunities, stepping back from draining relationships, or simply honouring your own pace, you’re embracing boundaries as a form of self-respect.
You crave ease—you don’t want to hustle anymore.
The non-stop grind that once felt like the only path to success now feels exhausting. You’re ready for a new way, one that prioritizes flow over force, alignment over obligation.
You’re actively exploring different ways to run your business—ways that honor both your ambition and your well-being.
I know this feeling firsthand.
After I sold my previous business, I was completely exhausted.
I knew I didn’t have the energy to build a new business through blood, sweat, and tears again—but I didn’t know what my options were.
So I tried to take the parts of my previous business that I loved and remove the ones I didn’t—like having a physical location that needed to be staffed 11 hours a day.
I knew I wanted me and my team (if I ever built another one) to work project-based, with freedom to work wherever and whenever they wanted. Their work would be output-based, not hours-based.
But here’s the thing—I was still bringing all of me into this new business.
I was still very much in doing mode, taking massive action without realizing I was operating from a place of scarcity and fear.
Even though I was burned out, I kept pushing.
It wasn’t until I heard about Moon Phase Planning that I realized there was an alternative to grinding all day, every day.
It took me a while, but I eventually embraced this cyclical way of working, honouring the dark phase of the moon by resting—trusting that by conserving my energy, I’d have more to give when the time was right.
I shared my journey with this in the episode aptly named "Moon Phase Planning," and I’ll also link my free guide below so you can learn how to apply this in your own business.
This was my first taste of embracing feminine flow—and once I did, everything started to change.
Stepping Into Your Feminine Power
So, now that you’re noticing these shifts—feeling out of alignment, craving more ease, and questioning the constant hustle—what’s next?
Feminine energy isn’t about sitting back and waiting for things to magically happen. It’s about creating space for clarity, inspiration, and aligned action. It’s about allowing your best ideas and next steps to come through instead of forcing everything into place.
So, how do you actually tap into this energy and use it in your business and life?
Here are some simple practices you can start incorporating:
Connect with your intuition:
The first step is creating space to hear yourself. You don’t need to meditate for hours, but giving your brain at least 10 minutes of silence each day can do wonders. Trust me, it’s so easy to get bogged down by the constant influx of information. A little quiet time helps clear out that mental gunk.
Personally, I like to imagine there’s a glass of still water balancing on my third eye, or I picture an empty room between my ears. That way, when thoughts come and go, I have something to refocus on.
If that doesn’t work for you, you could try setting a timer and just free-writing in your journal for a few minutes. It’s like brain-dumping without judgment.
Or, you could try breathwork—just search for breathwork tutorials on YouTube, and you’ll find so many great, free resources.
Allow yourself to be creative
Instead of forcing yourself to make business decisions, go and do something fun and creative so you can relax and have fun.
When you’re not pushing, you’re allowing space for your best ideas to come through. I get the best ideas when I’m out walking my dog Daisy.
Collaboration over Competition
Incorporating creativity in business also means shifting from a mindset of competition to one of collaboration. A feminine business thrives on partnerships, community-building, and supporting others.
So, consider working together with others—whether that’s co-hosting events, collaborating on projects, or even supporting your competitors.
This collective energy can open doors and help you grow in ways you never expected. There's more than enough success to go around!
Set boundaries with love
Stop saying yes when you really want to say no. Allow space for you to recharge your batteries.
Receiving Over Constant Giving
Another big part of embracing your feminine energy is getting comfortable with receiving. A lot of women are pros at giving—whether it’s to clients, friends, or family—but we often forget to allow ourselves to take in the good stuff too. That could be anything from money, help, and recognition, to just a simple compliment. When you let yourself receive, you actually open the door for more opportunities and a deeper sense of fulfillment. So, as much as you love giving, make sure you're also open to receiving. It’s a key piece of creating a sustainable, thriving business!
Prioritize self-care
Rest, move your body, or connect with nature. Remember: Self-care isn’t a luxury; it’s a business strategy.
Instead of saying “I should” say “I desire”
Your feminine energy thrives when you honour what lights you up.
So, now that you’ve got some tools to help you tap into your feminine energy and start living with more ease, let’s talk about the stuff that might trip you up along the way.
It’s not always smooth sailing.
You might run into some blocks or old habits that are tough to shake.
But the key is recognizing them and learning how to work through them—because those blocks don’t have to hold you back.
You might run into blocks like:
Letting go of control: Trusting that ease can be just as powerful as effort.
Ohh, this is easier said than done, but I’m learning to surrender, let go, ease up. Whenever my brain starts feeling anxious and like I need to “do” something, I focus on grounding myself and taking a few deep breaths until I calm my nervous system down. From that place, I get to decide what to do next.
Another block might be Guilt around resting or slowing down:
Remind yourself that when you rest, you’ll have more energy to be more productive at a later time.
I think I’ve mentioned this before, but one day, I’d committed to reading a novel, not a business book, not a personal development book, but an actual rom com novel and when I sat down to read it, my brain rebelled. It was like “get up and turn on your computer”, “you’re being lazy” “you’ve gotta keep pushing”, it was really quite insane.
I remember gripping the novel and saying to myself “No, shut up, I said I was going to read this novel and that’s what I’m gonna do damn it!”.
It was far from easeful or relaxing but it was curious how much resistance my brain had to slowing down.
Wrapping It Up:
Embracing your feminine rising isn’t about rejecting hard work or structure, but about finding a balance that works for you.
It’s about honouring both your intuitive being and your strategic doing, creating a life and business that flow with ease.
It’s not always easy, but with practice, you’ll start noticing the shifts.
You’ll find your rhythm and start to feel more aligned with your purpose.
